K.M. Ferebee has previously worked as a subway busker, a household assistant, and a violinist with the indie rock band Beirut. She holds an MFA in creative writing from The Ohio State University, where she is a doctoral student working on rhetorics of science, technology, and the environment. Her work has appeared in Shimmer, Strange Horizons, The Masters Review, and Lady Churchill's Rosebud Wristlet, and has been anthologized in The Year's Best Weird Fiction and Prime Books' Year's Best anthologies.
